Express Entry Update — June 29, 2026

Monday, June 29, 2026

IRCC held 34 Express Entry draws between January 5 and June 25, 2026, issuing 89,067 invitations to apply (ITAs) — the most recent being a Healthcare and Social Services draw on June 25 with 4,000 ITAs at a CRS cutoff of 475.

A PNP draw on June 22 issued 955 ITAs with a CRS cutoff of 730, marking the first PNP draw since May 25 and reflecting the ongoing high CRS bar for provincial nominee candidates.

IRCC resolved a technical issue affecting the French-language proficiency draw (#418, May 28, 2026) — eligible candidates who were missed should now have received their invitations.

What You Should Do

  • Check if you received a missed invitation from the May 28 French-language draw (#418): log into your IRCC account at ircc.canada.ca and review your messages and status — IRCC has stated eligible candidates should now have been invited.
  • If you work in healthcare, social services, or trades, verify your NOC code eligibility for category-based draws by reviewing the category list at canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/rounds-invitations.html — these draws have used CRS cutoffs as low as 467 (Healthcare, Feb 20) and 477 (Trades, Apr 2), well below current CEC cutoffs of 507–518.
  • If you have French-language test results (TEF Canada or TCF Canada), ensure they are uploaded to your Express Entry profile at canada.ca — French draws have recurred every month in 2026 with cutoffs ranging from 393 to 409, making this one of the most accessible pathways currently active.
  • If you are a PNP candidate, check your CRS score: the June 22 PNP draw required a minimum of 730. Contact your province's nominee program office to confirm your nomination is reflected in your Express Entry profile before the next PNP draw.

Topics Covered

CRS Cutoff Trends: CEC draws in 2026 have held a tight CRS cutoff range of 507–518, while category-based draws continue to offer much lower entry points — Healthcare at 475, Trades at 477, and French-language as low as 393.

Category-Based Selection System: IRCC ran 34 draws across at least 10 active categories in the first half of 2026, with five new categories launched in February alone, including Physicians with Canadian Work Experience (cutoff as low as 169) and Senior Managers.

PNP Express Entry Draw Trends: The June 22 PNP draw issued 955 ITAs at a CRS cutoff of 730 — a notable drop from the May 25 cutoff of 805, though still extremely high relative to other draw types.
