Canada held 30 Express Entry draws between January 5 and May 28, 2026, issuing 79,841 ITAs total. The most recent draw (#418, May 28) was a French-language proficiency draw issuing 4,500 ITAs at a CRS cutoff of 409.
A Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on May 27 issued 3,000 ITAs at a CRS cutoff of 518 — the highest CEC cutoff so far in 2026, up from 507–515 in earlier CEC draws.
IRCC has moved decisively toward category-based draws in 2026, with 10 active categories. French-language draws consistently clear at much lower CRS scores (393–446) than CEC draws (507–518), reflecting Canada's ~9% francophone admissions target outside Quebec.
What You Should Do
- Check your current CRS score and compare it against recent draw cutoffs using the official Express Entry profile tool at canada.ca/express-entry. If your score is below 518, assess whether you qualify for a lower-cutoff category (e.g., French-language at ~409, Trades at 477).
- If you are a French-language candidate, ensure your TEF Canada or TCF Canada test results are current and loaded in your Express Entry profile — French draws have run every month in 2026 at significantly lower CRS scores.
