What You Should Do
- If you have a provincial nomination, check your CRS score against the latest PNP draw cutoff (768 as of August 4, 2026) using the Express Entry profile tool at canada.ca/express-entry. Ensure your profile was created before 3:58 p.m. UTC on May 15, 2026 to have been eligible for the August 4 draw — update your profile creation date if you haven't applied yet.
- If you are targeting Alberta, check the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) website for the specific occupations invited in the August 4–12 rounds (healthcare, agriculture, tech) and confirm your NOC code qualifies before submitting an Expression of Interest at alberta.ca/aaip.
- If you are targeting Newfoundland and Labrador, review the August 10, 2026 draw results on the NLPNP website (gov.nl.ca/immigration) to see if your stream and score were competitive, and note the declining Atlantic Immigration Program share (22 of 208 ITAs) when choosing your pathway.
- If you have already received a provincial nomination certificate, be aware that as of March 30, 2026, your certificate now serves as sufficient proof of economic establishment and intent to reside — you no longer need to separately satisfy IRCC on these criteria.
