Provincial Nominee Program Update — July 2, 2026

Thursday, July 2, 2026

IRCC held a PNP-specific Express Entry draw on May 25, 2026, issuing 334 invitations to apply (ITAs) with a CRS cut-off of 805, requiring profiles created before October 16, 2025.

PNP nomination allocations increased by approximately 31% across most provinces for 2026 — Ontario leads with 14,119 nominations, up from 10,750; Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and PEI have not yet announced final allocations.

Ontario launched Phase 1 of its OINP redesign on June 25, 2026, eliminating its existing 8 streams and replacing them with a single 'Ontario Workforce Priority' stream, with the Expression of Interest (EOI) system expected to open later in summer 2026.

What You Should Do

  • Check your current CRS score and compare it to recent PNP draw cut-offs (786–805 range in 2026) at canada.ca/express-entry to assess your competitiveness for upcoming PNP draws.
  • If you are targeting the Ontario PNP, monitor ontario.ca/page/2026-ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-updates for the opening of the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream EOI system, expected in summer 2026.
  • If you are in a province that has not yet announced 2026 PNP allocations (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, or PEI), check those provinces' official immigration pages regularly for allocation announcements.
  • Ensure your Express Entry profile is active and up to date — recent PNP draws required profiles created before specific dates (e.g., October 16, 2025 for the May 25 draw), so an older or lapsed profile may disqualify you.
