Provincial Nominee Program Update — May 28, 2026
Thursday, May 28, 2026
Ontario's Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is replacing all 9 existing streams by May 30, 2026, following a March 16 amendment to Regulation 421/17 that granted the Minister authority to create and remove streams.
Canada updated PNP processing times on May 12, 2026, with Federal Skilled Worker Program and PNP applications now subject to longer processing times, while the Atlantic Immigration Program and Parents and Grandparents Program will be processed faster.
PNP draw CRS cutoffs have been climbing in 2026: from 710 in March to 805 on May 25, reflecting fewer new nominations entering the Express Entry pool.
