IRCC finalized 2,011,375 total applications (across PR, temporary residence, and citizenship) in the first six months of 2026, including 362,410 in June alone.
During Citizenship Week (April 12–18, 2026), over 80 ceremonies were held nationwide, welcoming approximately 6,000 new citizens from 40 countries.
